SOCAR, an Azerbaijani company, is awarded a contract by Iraq’s oil ministry to provide drilling and oil services. Basim Abdel Karim, the company’s general manager, noted in a statement that the contract includes drilling and reclaiming oil wells, noting that the contract is for three years, but may be extended.
With the signing of partnership agreements with international companies such as Halliburton, Weatherford and Schlumberger, Iraqi Drilling Company expanded its scope of work and accelerated its implementation of projects as well as benefitting from the implication of modern technology and systems within its operations.
